Instituto Cooperativo diversificada de La Unión

The unique thing about High School in Guatemala is that every student also learns a trade during their studies.

Our Middle School has experienced remarkable growth and success over the past three years, leading to the need for our students to pursue their high school education in the nearby city. While this endeavor has incurred significant costs, it remains essential to fulfill our mission of breaking the cycle of poverty.

With great anticipation, Access Education has embarked on a new dream—to establish its own High School within the premises of the Instituto Basico (Middle School). Thanks to the generous grant from Grapes for Humanity Canada, the construction of the High School was opened in February 2017!

In Guatemala, High School education holds a distinctive feature: alongside their academic studies, students also acquire vocational skills. By completing an additional year of study, they become eligible to pursue a university education. Notably, many of our students attend university on weekends, allowing them to work and contribute to their families support while furthering their education.
