Mission

Access Education - Guatemala Children's Fund was founded first as "Glendy's Wish." Glendy was a twenty-five year old mother of two young children who lived in La Union. Glendy's greatest wish was for her children to go to school and to become literate herself. Glendy very much wanted a 'life.' Glendy was also the biological sister of Adrienne's daughter and when Adrienne met the family in La Union it was Glendy who stood out.

Adrienne promised Glendy that she would see that her children got an education and just before Adrienne took her daughter to visit the village of her birth, Glendy was tragically murdered. She was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Through Access Education - Guatemala Children's Fund, Glendy's wish has been realized. Her children are thriving in the school and with love, support and education, they will go on to live the life that their mother could only dream of.

Access Education - Guatemala Children's Fund is committed to providing funds to the school to enable every single child to attend. We are actively on the ground - working to break the cycle of poverty. We believe education is the key.
